Toward the beginning of her career Lady Gaga started performing with Lady Starlight, who has helped create her crazy onstage outfits. The pair began playing together at downtown clubs like the Mercury Lounge, The Bitter End, and the Rockwood Music Hall, with their live performance art piece known as "Lady Gaga and the Starlight Revue". The two did so well together they were invited to play at the 2007 Lallapalooza.
After being focused on electronic dance music, Gaga found her musical niche when she began to incorporate pop music and the glam rock of David Bowie and Queen into her music.
Fusari sent the songs he helped produced with Gaga to his friend and record executive Vincent Herbert. Herbert quickly signed her to his label Streamline Records. She credited Herbert as the man who discovered her.
