Mary J. Blige-career

In 1993 Blige came out with her debut album "What's the 411?".  After releasing a few singles, they knew that the albums would be successful.  The first single released reached number one on the R&B charts.  Not but a year later dropped her sophomore album "My Life".  This album reached high status as did her first.  Many of the song got high on the charts with "I'm Going Down" being the highest at number twelve.

Blige took a few years off to do various collaborations with other artist.  In 1998 she came out with her third album "Share My World", which debuted at number one and had five hit singles.  The following year Blige released "Mary" her fourth studio album.  Unlike her first three albums this one did not receive as much praise.  In 2001 Blige released her fifth studio album entitled "No More Drama".  The album went double platinum selling over two million copies.
